National Iyengar Yoga Day – January 18th 2020
On Saturday 18th January 2020 as part of the UK National Iyengar Yoga Day, Congleton Iyengar Yoga Centre opened its doors to the local community, offering a Family yoga session and an Adult yoga class. For pictures and a summary of the day click here

National Iyengar Yoga Day – January 14th 2017 On Saturday 14th January 2017, to celebrate National Iyengar Yoga Day, two free classes were held and there was a demonstration of yoga asanas by teachers and teacher trainees. It was great to welcome back Margaret to the Centre since her last visit in 2011 when she ran the Opening event at the studio. Margaret has been teaching Iyengar yoga since the late 1970's, having progressed through the different levels to become a Senior Teacher in 1992. National Iyengar Yoga Day – January 16th 2016
Free classes were held at the Yoga Centre on Saturday 16th January. A wide range of people of all levels attended - including complete beginners who enjoyed their first experience of Iyengar Yoga. September 13th 2015 – Workshop with Jayne Orton
Jayne the Director of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Birmingham made her second visit to the Centre following her popular workshop in 2013. She is the Midlands' most experienced and long-standing Iyengar teacher and has visited the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune over 20 times to study directly with the Iyengars.
September 20th 2014 – Workshop with Tricia Booth
Tricia Booth (Senior Intermediate level 3 – 1982) was a physiotherapist when she began practicing Iyengar Yoga and she has been teaching for over 40 years. Tricia has made many visits to the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune and took numerous classes with BKS Iyengar on his visits to the UK. Read more here September 15th 2013 – Workshop with Jayne Orton
The centre is now into its third year and to have Jayne, as a guest teacher, is a real privilege as she is one of the few teachers in the UK to hold an Iyengar advanced certificate presented to her by B.K.S. Read more here October 28th 2011 – The Yoga Show, London Christina and some of her students were at The Yoga Show, Olympia, London to hold an open class –”Yoga for Everybody, whatever your body shape, size or level of flexibility”.
